"Living History"

This is a rendering in gouache on illustration board inspired and derived from reading Hillary Rodham-Clinton's autobiography "Living History".

I sent the rendering to Senator Clinton as an offering. She graciously replied and appreciated my work.

Renderings can also be used as a means of conveying what I intuit from an interview or consultation and how I see the information organized within the chosen theme or story. Not all projects require a rendering and sometimes it is not a good idea. But, In this instance the final tapestry was not going to be made at this time, so the rendering was a way of conveying how the symbolic imagery I chose became an abstracted portrait of her story.
